ONGOING ACTIVITIESJump down to Special EventsSundays 10:30-11:30 AM is our weekly church service with our Children's Church program at 10:40-11:30 AM, under the directorship of Deidra Schaub assisted by Beegee Brandhorst. (If you would be available to help with the children one Sunday a month, please contact us.) Also Sundays 9:00 AM-9:20 AM we hold a pre-service meditation. The church is open:
Mondays 7:30 PM, Overeaters Anonymous meets at the church. Tuesday mornings 10:00 AM - noon at the church is a book-study group. This group will resume August 31 with the book, 5 Gifts for an Abundant Life by Diane Harmony and will run for 6 weeks. Starting October 12, we will study Concentric Perspectives by Eric Butterworth. Join us anytime and empower your spirituality. Tuesday evenings 5:30 - 6:00 PM at the church we have a Healing Meditation Service for anyone seeking healing prayers. You may come join our circle of prayer, you can submit a name to the ministerial team or you can submit your prayer to one of our chaplains (LaNelle Montgomery, Ernestine Taylor, Jim Collins) by calling the church office to obtain their phone numbers. Another way is to write your prayer down and place it in our church's prayer box to be prayed over. Tuesday evenings 6:00 - 7:30 PM our study group is on holiday with no new classes until fall. Wednesdays at noon is "12 at 12," an open AA 12-step meeting for all to attend. Saturdays mornings 9:00 - 10:00 AM is Prosperity Coffee at the church. This is a lively discussion group for applying prosperity and other Unity teachings and principles to our lives and our relationships. Coffee and tea will be available. AA holds closed meetings at the church, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 5:30 PM. Check us out on Facebook, Las Cruces Next Generation of Unity for young adults (age 18 to 35ish). SPECIAL EVENTS - SeptemberNOTE: all ongoing and special events are offered at no charge; love offerings are gratefully accepted. For those taking classes, books for class can be bought at our bookstore with a 20% discount.Sunday, September 5, at our regular 10:30 AM service Rabbi Paul Citrin will be our guest speaker. We welcome and appreciate visits from other faiths to increase our understanding and strengthen our joy in the discovery that deep down we all share a belief in a Divine Presence. Thursday, September 9 is Unity's World Day of Prayer to transform the world by "Living in the Flow." We will have prayers and meditations given by various area ministers and speakers at the church from 11 AM to 1 PM. Come at any time, leave at any time. Or you can submit a prayer online at www.worlddayofprayer.org. Sunday, September 12 after our regular Sunday service we will have an Ice Cream Social hosted by Virginia Brilliant. See you there! Sunday, September 19 in the afternoon at the First Presbyterian church, is the annual UN International Peace Celebration.
